Among the infinite Buddhas and infinite Pure Lands, why does Shakyamuni Buddha repeatedly encourage us to seek rebirth in Amitabha Buddha’s Pure Land?

Because Amitabha Buddha made 48 Great Vows specifically to save ordinary beings like us who are still trapped in samsara (especially the 18th vow).

Other Pure Lands certainly exist, but many require a high level of spiritual attainment to enter. Amitabha Buddha’s Pure Land is unique because it is open to all beings who have faith, vows, and practice, especially through reciting Amitabha Buddha’s Name.

Once reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss:

🪷 You will never fall into the three lower realms (you are forever out from Samsara).

🪷 You will meet Amitabha Buddha (and other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas) face-to-face.

🪷 You will hear the Dharma continuously.

🪷 You will quickly attain the stage of non-retrogression.

🪷 You can then return to countless worlds to benefit sentient beings.

This is why over 290 Mahayana sutras praise Amitabha Buddha and recommend rebirth in His Pure Land.

As the great Bodhisattvas Mañjuśrī and Samantabhadra themselves vowed to attain rebirth in Amitabha Buddha’s Pure Land, it serves as the supreme model for all Bodhisattvas and ordinary beings alike.

The goal is not merely to go to a Pure Land, but to choose the Pure Land most accessible and beneficial for attaining Buddhahood and liberating all beings.
